How to darken the lights from my multiple socket? (inb4: Firstworldproblem)

I have some multisocket like this one and have it fixed under my table. The problem is, when I'm lying in my bed, the red lights from the Switches really distracting my while I try to fall asleep.

I was thinking about how it could be possible to darken those plastic-switches without losing completly the light of them and just tinting them down two third, so I have a slight dimming red tone when they are on.

The thing is: I want to have it kinda perfect. So I want to know if there are tinting-sprays or dimming lacquer I could apply to make the plastic switch more convenient. I could mask the socketbar around the switches with masking tape and then apply this spray/lacquer to get a clean and even result.

The thing is: What am I looking for? I found some tinting-spray for plastic-backlights for cars but the thing is, that they make the backlight black, but when the lights from the backlights goes on, its the same brightness. But I look for soemthing that really darkens the light by ~2/3 of its brightness.

Any Ideas?
