What is the most useful animal?

My roommate and I were arguing. He says that the most useful animal is the yak, because they are a beast of burden that can provide meat, fur, milk, and leather. I told him he basically described a cow. He replies that the yak is the most useful animal on Earth. Help me prove him wrong.
