"Kill Cancer, Get Mythender" - (Another) Random Kindness Encounter Bundle Post

Preamble: Apologies to Rolling20s for duplicating his link. Please show Rolling20s some love for being on the ball. (Don't mean to steal any thunder :3, I had written this by the time I noticed your submission, and I figure it would be a disservice not to sell it up, so a karma for you!) :D

It's shit like this that makes me love the RP gaming community...

Today, one of the game designers associated with the FATE rpg (pretty cool stuff) made a blog post about releasing a game of Legendary proportions (Mythender: Where you fight gods and struggle against your own apotheosis). Not only that, but it will be available to the world for free, to which I say: sweet deal!

The twist: He'll only release it under the condition that a fundraiser for a friend with cancer meets it's target of $4000 by new years, but like any superhero, he's not alone...

A few of us in the independent role-playing community have put together a bundle of RPG PDFs to help raise money for Kelly’s treatment. What’s in this Random Kindness Encounter Bundle?

Elizabeth Sampat’s Blowback

Vincent Baker’s Murderous Ghosts

Emily Care Boss’ Breaking the Ice

David Hill & Filamena Young’s Maschine Zeit, along with an adventure for it

Joshua A.C. Newman’s Shock: and Human Contact (The only way to get a PDF of Human Contact without buying the physical!)

Dungeon World Compendium #1: Finer Things, a special themed-moves compendium by Adam Koebel & Sage La Torra.

Josh Roby’s Rooksbridge chapbooks, #1-4, in PDF & epub formats

Ben Lehman’s Clover

…and, if we get $4000 total, everyone in the world gets Ryan Macklin’s Mythender. Ryan will put the finishing polish on the game’s text (which will take a couple months) and release it for free to the public.

Awesome part: Take a look at their progress bar. They've already raised their initial target of $4000 on the first day. + All surplus once treatments are over will be passed along to the American Cancer Society.

How cool is that?!

So what are you waiting for? End Cancer, Get Mythender

tl;dr: RPG gamers raised $4000+ in a day to help a cancer patient. If you donate you get tons of sweet loot, and excess kindness is paid forward to others w/ cancer.
