[Linear Algebra] Subspace of periodic functions

I had a test today and it asked if a*sin(nx) (arbitrary real a and integer n) is a subspace of periodic functions of period=2pi. I don't think it is, as for example adding two functions in the space, sin(x)+2sin(2x), is not describable by a*sin(nx).

Is it a subspace?
