Methylphenidate anxiety compared to amphetamine?
So I have a paper I plan on writing saturday. And I plan on taking either a 36mg concerta or 40mg Vyvanse (perhaps 80mg if I'm in a particularly jaded mood regarding humanities coursework). I've done plenty of amphetamines and far larger doses and such, but I've never had methylphenidate.
Anyways, I have mild anxiety problems, and periods where I take stimulants (Especially caffeine) make it a lot worse, and while right now is not a period where it's really interfering with things, it has in the past (Of course I was going through 800mg-1000mg of caffeine per day via pills with the occasional amphetamine as well as personal/family problems mixed in--I've cut down a lot). And from what I've read regarding other peoples use of methylphenidate is that it tends to be more anxiety-inducing than amphetamine. Is this true from your experiences? Yes, I know I shouldn't be taking stims with anxiety problems, but I haven't had any in a while, and as a physics major, the last thing I give a fuck about is writing a paper for a required humanities class that generally amounts to nothing more than a circlejerk of literary analysis from hipsters who want to seem edgy.
I also have some xanax, hydrocodone, and most likely, if everything works out well, some oxy's as well if it gets bad and for the comedown, but the paper is due saturday at 5 pm, so a negative reaction would be very displeasing.
So is what I hear regarding methylphenidate true and I should just fuck it and take vyvanse?
