So I talked with the Navy Recruiter today.

I took some sort of practice asvab, and then we started talking about what sort of jobs I might want to get into.

He was pushing me towards going for nuclear engineering, but I think I'd rather do IT or languages.

Do you guys have any advice for the best job for me?

I'm 17 years old, have a CCNA, Network+, and about to get a Linux+.(Self taught)

I love networking, programming, and Linux among other things. I would like to only go in the navy for 4-6 years and then apply what I've learned to getting a decent job in the civilian world. I just don't see how nuclear engineering is going to do that for me.

I'm starting to get nervous that I might make the wrong decision and end up working in a job I won't like during those years.

In a week I'm going to take the real Asvab.

I don't want to make a horrible decision :(

Help :S
