Question: Human Anatomy Gastrocnemius muscle
I am currently studying the muscles in the human body and I was wondering why the muscle in our calf is called the gastrocnemius. Gastro means stomache. Why isn't it something along the lines of sural or tibial or something remotely in that area at least?
