Human evolution...

This has been something that I've been thinking about for some time now and just wonder how others feel about it. Evolution is driven by natural selection (possibly artificial selection could be considered as well), my thought is that homo sapiens are currently so comfortable atop the food chain that there is no real intensive to evolve further. Not among the wild kingdom at least. How about among ourselves? Does anyone think that we are ripe for a split of the species in the years to come, or have we made the world so small (by way of easy travel) that we are beyond evolution as a species?
