Still in love with BF2 squad system. any plan to fix them?

While BF3 is visually stimulating and awesome in almost every way BF2 was. I'm still having some love pangs for the Squads in Bf2:

Cant say how many times I've joined a game with 4-6 friends and had

A. an empty squad 4 of us can all be in at the same time B. having to split into two squads of 3.
