Sony VX2000 vig problems?

Alright so I'm hoping someone on shreddit will be able to help me out with this, I'm sure there are a number of you that own vx2s.

So anyway, here's the problem: I've got a vx2 and an Opteka Xtreme 0.3 Super Fisheye lens (which I plan on replacing with an Opteka Ultra lens once I have the money). Whenever I try to use spacers for it (I actually just modded the lens a few minutes ago, I'm still having this problem though), I can't see the vig on the right side through the viewfinder or the LCD screen. I've made sure I'm not zoomed in or anything but it just doesn't show. When I capture the footage to my computer though, both sides show up (usually with the left side showing more vig than the right). Does anyone know why this is and how I could fix it? I'd appreciate the help, thanks
