Medical scare with anticlimactic ending (pic in comments)

Today I came home after work and found one of my cats taking slow, raspy breaths and unable to move.

Nothing I did had any effect. It felt like my cat was dying in front of my eyes.

I freaked out and took him to urgent care immediately. While driving dark thought started to obsess me. Will this be the last time I see my cat? How will I explain to my wife? Will this bankrupt me financially?

Thirty minutes later vet gave me a firm diagnosis: There's nothing wrong with my cat. Except that he clocked 24.2 lb (11 kg) on a scale. And might have allergies.

TL;DR I paid $35 to a vet to tel me that my cat is a fatass.
