If you were to describe Reddit to someone who has never heard of it before, what would you say?

I told someone I knew about this website called reddit and she asked me what it was. My initial thought was a giant circlejerk, but I doubt she would have known what that was... so I just said it was a website with cool/funny links.

How would you describe reddit?
