Help me give my foreign friend a vacation to remember!

The story so far: My friend is a graduate student from China. We met last year at college and quickly became best buddies because of our similar interests and hobbies. This year we are roommates and I can honestly say he is the best friend I have ever had (or will ever have). He will graduate later next year and move back to China. We both have expressed how devastated we will be when that day comes.

One of the biggest parts of my friend's life is achievements for the Xbox 360. I think he is ranked in the top 20 in China. He has expressed that his big dream is to visit the Microsoft headquarters in Washington for this Winter break. We live in Indiana I would not be able to afford the trip. I have told him of this fact and he stated that he would never go without me.

I have a car and I would love to take a road trip with him (just not to Washington). Where would you recommend going and what would you recommend doing? Keep in mind his interests (gaming), our location (Indiana), and our limits (nothing >12 hours away). I'd like him to remember this for a lifetime.
