The truth about dirty knickers.

Like many of you, I have heard stories of Japanese vending machines selling the dirty undies of young school girls. I have searched the Internet, but can't seem to find out if this is really done. Good old Snopes claims it is real, but other sites disagree. Can anyone confirm or prove that this really happens?
