Was hoping someone here might be able to help me?
Using a throw away.
I think I might be bipolar.
I can go from completely fine, to in tears within minutes. The littlest things can upset me and make me feel upset for days, sometimes weeks. During these days, I often cut myself off from the world completely, and have an extremely pessimistic attitude. I feel completely hopeless and worthless. Sometimes these feelings come along with suicidal thoughts. I have a daughter though and she's the only thing that makes me reconsider. I cry almost everyday during these episodes. I lose interest in all things, including food. I barely eat during these times.
During my "normal" mood, I'm completely fine. I feel content, happy with life, optimistic towards the future. I go out and shop, do things with my daughter, etc.
I also have random fits of rage to where I'm extremely hurtful (with words, not physically) to a person, then within minutes I'm apologizing for my behavior, which often less to a depressed episode.
Does this sound familiar to anyone here? Am I way off in thinking I'm bipolar? I have never been diagnosed with depression or anything (I haven't told anyone about these episodes...ever.) I have been feeling this way since I was probably 16 years old and I am 21 now. I'm also female (I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I don't know really anything about this.) Am I being, for lack of a better term, a drama queen? Should I see a doctor? I'm really confused about all this.
Thank you to anyone who might be able to answer some of my questions. Hopefully this wasn't too confusing of a post.
