Well, I heard the Horror Stories about Origin Tech Support. After mustering the courage to confront them, I got my ass -thoroughly- kicked. It was glorious.
I finally get my copy of BF3. I try to install it to a custom directory, but origin won't let me. It keeps giving me the error message, "Installation directory is invalid". I decide that this would be a grand opportunity to contact the infamous origin customer support I had heard so much about.
I went in guns-a-blazing. Before anything else, I asked the tech representative for some kind of unique employee identifier, so I could slam him with negative feedback if he tried anything squirrely. He refused to give me one. After trying to reason with a brick wall for about 5 minutes (4.5 minutes were spent waiting for responses), I conceded the point and reluctantly presented my problem to him.
Here was the exact conversation thereafter:
Him: Are you using an external Hard drive?
Me: Internal SATA HDD

rofl, holy shit origin. It's like getting bitch slapped by Charlie Sheen for no reason. I don't know whether I should feel violated or ask for an autograph.
