To all you atheists: let's create a forum where new atheists, young atheists and inexperienced debaters can come to sharpen their rhetoric, so as to debate well when they come across religious fanatics.
Too often, I've been seeing typical "Look what happened on facebook!" posts where the atheist party has committed numerous, obvious or grievous errors of logic, spelling, grammar or punctuation. This not only makes them look bad, but when they assume the mantle of 'Champion of Atheism" they discredit us all. Let's get something going where, in the spirit of intellectual honesty, we can have debates.
My original idea was for older and/or more rhetorically inclined folks to play devil's advocate and pick holes in typical anti-theist arguments, but it would also be highly effective for the young atheists to take on the role of theist in an attempt to find the breaks in their own lines of reasoning.
If we believe there's any use in arguing with theists (which is a point itself open to considerable debate), we ought to be able to agree that there's considerable merit in going about it correctly.
