BB Playbook, or Kindle Fire?

Hello. I'm thinking about purchasing my first tablet. The Blackberry Playbook and the Kindle Fire are both priced at $199.99. I don't know which to get. Which one has the best operating system? More features? Ect. I like customization, which the Kindle Fire lacks, but I don't like lagging, which I heard the Playbook occasionally has. Which would you get? (Also, I don't read books) I am big when it comes to sluggish performance, which I heard the BB is good at being. But I also like to be able to customize, which I heard the Fire lacks. (Can't change background, or change theme.) So, I need help. What do you think? Thank you.
