Mike Martz Discussion

Every time I see Martz mentioned, it's with a degree of loathing I've rarely seen in the last decade. Does the dude call too many pass plays? Yup. But shit, we've done well the past year and a half and that's with a group of young receivers, a young (previously shitty) O-Line, and a new system. If we can succeed under those conditions, then the future is looking bright as far as I'm concerned.

So why does Martz get so much hate? I mean, shit, has everyone forgotten the sheer ineptitude that was Ron Turner's offense?

Anyway, two honest questions to those of you who foam at the mouth at the very mention of this guy's name:

1. Do you hate Martz's system, or just Martz? That is, would you rather replace Martz but keep his system, or scrap him and his system altogether?

2. Who do you want to replace Martz?

I don't like some of the plays he calls and I wish Jay had more leniency with audibles, but beyond that I just don't get why everyone here hates this guy. Someone please explain.

Thanks!
