Has anyone ever dated an older man?

Question for all you gals out there:

I have met someone. He is awesome and caring and super sexy. He is also 26 years older than me. Literally twice my age and old enough to be my father. Apart from the age difference he is awesomeness on a bun of sexy but I can't quite get over the age difference in my head.

Am I being stupid?
