I'm seeing a lot of the old FUD that it will go from $1000 to $200, to encourage paperhanded daytrading
We've covered how this can't happen. Upon a margin call, funds are depleted and price begins going stratospheric in a few days. Any remaining firms not called yet would have to fight against the buy orders from the margin call. It has always just been a tactic to trick people into making small profits, allowing shorts to cover cheaply, then extinguish the rocket entirely. If they could have dropped it from $400 to $50, they would have done it already. Guess what? They tried to go from $350 down all the way to get paperhands' stop losses. It barely hit half of that and jumped back in an hour. Guess what? If you day-trade, you need to wait 3 business days for that sale to clear before you can use those funds to buy back. By the time you can buy again, the price will either be back at $10000, or, if you considered this as anything more than hypothetical, you'll buy back into an extinguished spaceship doomed to sit on the runway with only rent money, and your entire life will go back to its miserable existence in a month.
Here's what the shills posit happening: it goes to $1000. Having seen this knowledge that they will drop it from $1000 to $200 because of this arbitrary $1000 number, you'll sell and double your position. Then, instead of rising back to $10,000,000, it stays at $200. The squeeze was just killed because you're so smooth-brained that you went with a 5x gain over a 1000x gain.
Here's what will actually happen: at $1000, you'll see an abundance of shill posts saying "prepare for the dip", "brace for a drop", "keep hodling through the huge dip that's about to come", and then you'll see some posts saying "I was confused, I sold at $1000, is there still room for me". ALL of these will be written by shills to get you to give them a discount. Remember, $1000 is something they can cover without even reporting any losses this quarter. $10,000 won't even bankrupt them. Instead, you'll think of this post, remember all of these are either sleeper cell shills, full blown shills, or fiver dot com shills. You'll hold, everybody who's real will hold. Susquehanna will dump 100k shares that they're long and short on. The price will dip from $1000 to $900 because they have millions of buy orders, then the liftoff will begin as everybody and their mentally unstable uncle Jim get margin called, initiating the full blown short squeeze.
The trick is never selling until you can change your life and world with that money. That doesn't mean a couple of whales changing their lives, it means every X, and XX holder will the financial freedom to begin the second renaissance era. Where the former was funded by the Medici, this one will self-fund millions to pursue the topics they feel the need to change in the world. From environmental, to human rights, to healthcare, to medicine, to resource scarcity issues. Only once we have a group with the same powers as the 1% composing 10% of the population and with the compassion and empathy that can only come from experiencing middle-class modern poverty, do we have life and world-changing money.
