It's a weird mix of accomplishment, relief, frustration, and a deep sadness, anger, and apathy.

I'm relieved that the day is over and I got it done without being rescued. It feels like an accomplishment, but at what cost?

I'm frustrated knowing that by the time I get home, everyone else in my life will be going to bed thanks to the megacycle.

The sadness creeps in because I do this 6 days a week and basically have zero energy to do anything else except park, sort, scan, deliver, repeat.

The apathy washes over me because I try to do everything right, but I know that I have been starting to cut corners at this job just to make it through the day.

The anger comes from knowing that my coworkers don't care, my DSP doesn't care, Amazon doesn't care... We deliver smiles all day behind a mask because our ability to smile is being taken from us with every envelope or box we drop.

Fuck Amazon...

I felt every word, know you’re not alone.

Don’t forget you still have a rescue after that route...pick up 35 more packages 🤡

My philosophy is that I don't return until everyone returns. If I keep that mindset, the rescues don't bother me as much. I get paid hourly and it's not like I can have a life and do this job so it is what it is.

I get drained knowing people get 100 stop route yet still need people like you to grab 35 off them..🤷🏾‍♂️

I know from dispatching that stop count isn't always a good measure of how long a route takes. And being efficient is what gets those 200/300 routes done quickly. I do stops out of order constantly to account for business hours and stupid algorithmic grouping. It's hard to teach, but after you've done hundreds of routes in a bunch of different areas, you get good at sensing when Flex is about to fuck you. And yes, I did finish before a few people who had half the amount of stops... 🤷‍♂️

It almost feels like the end of Breaking Bad when Jesse escapes the meth house.

Geesh 6 days ???? You're a complete madman. I feel your expression 100%. I'm beginning to question my insanity myself. Keep your armor on until you find something else and then you can take your cape off warrior.

It's only 6 days because Amazon won't let us drive 7. If they could, they'd have me work every day that ends with Y. I haven't had two consecutive days off since February.
