S3 Spoiler/Theory

SpoilerAU :Australia:

I was scrolling through the Wikipedia Page looking for air dates/no. episodes left and noticed that they already have upcoming challenges listed. I know, I know, Wikipedia, blah blah blah. But they do match what is listed on the TV guide synopsis.

EPSIODE 8 (Mon 03 May Challenge: Four Seasons" - This challenge is a double elimination. The teams were given eight hours to create one of the four seasons on a giant baseplate.

Another thing I noticed is that Ryan & Gabby are listed as contestants for this ep. Which sceptically could just be an error but it does line up with people’s guesses of that the advertised “big twist” is they are being bought back

EPSIODE 9 (Tues 04 May) Challenge: “Arcade Game" - Teams are tasked with creating their own arcade game.

EPSIODE 10 (Sun 9 May) Challenge: "Race" - Teams are required to build a vehicle that can race down a purpose-built track in the shortest time.

Challenge: "Dream Home" - Teams must build their ultimate dream home.

EPISODE 11 (Mon 10 May) Challenge: "Heroic Moment of Impact" - In a celebration of the Marvel cinematic universe, teams will have access to an exclusive Brick Pit and collection of Mini Fig characters for a build that needs to show a heroic moment of impact.

So that would make EPISODE 12 the Grand Finale free build right? I assume this would air on Tues 11 May (no TV guide available yet to check)

This is interesting enough info on its own as a spoiler. But as the title suggests I also have a theory here. I’m thinking the number of episodes/challenges left doesn’t quite match the number of contestants, so maybe tomorrow night’s (EP8) big twist is actually that R&G are bought back AND no one is getting eliminated, instead with the two elimations left happening in EP9 & EP11 (or possibly only one elimation tomorrow, and one of the other elimations being a fake out), either way thus leaving a top 3 for the Grand Finale (EP12)

Oh wow that changes things, maybe more than one team are being bought back. I’m kinda not surprised though because there are some builds/moments in the promo that don’t quite fit into what’s above. Namely the shot where Hamish and Brickman in black and white clothes and makeup.

I loved Gabby and Ryan. It’s a shame they lost the brick and the elimination round in the same episode because of Fleur and Sarah using their brick. I hate Fleur and Sarah now.

Not really, but it was a bit cruel

You are meant to hate them... they are so clearly creating a narrative where they don't belong there, so we all feel happy when they are 'justly' ... de-bricked.

Definitely a bigger twist that just someone being bought back and I had pretty much had the same theory expect I accounted for the usual episode in the week where no one is elimated. I guess we’ll have to wait for the TV guide (which is only available a week in advance) to confirm/deny

I had thought something similar with Ryan and gabby being brought back. I know I’d feel better watching a rematch with no brick of doom or platinum brick, I feel like it should make it seem more balanced

If Ryan & Gabby are going to be brought back because they dropped the ball on a single build, it would make sense to give every eliminated team a similar opportunity. Atlanta & Geoff had a one off bad build and got knocked out as a result.

My guess is that the 4 eliminated teams compete in double elimination for 2nd chances and episodes play out as follows:

Ep 8: 4 eliminated team compete for 2 x 2nd chance spots.

Ep 9: 6 team elimination challenge

Ep 10: 5 team immunity & elimination challenge

Ep 11: 4 team elimination challenge

Ep 12: 3 team finale

Hindsight is 20/20 isn’t it lol, this was just a fun little prediction/theory I had.

I’m just happy Gabby and Ryan are back after that unfair elimination

Well - they did say 'double elimation' on the commercial break for the next show... also, at this point, does anyone actually think that this show is based on anything other than toys sales by advertising? The last two episodes were hands-down the worst I've seen...

You understand what a twist is right?

Wikipedia doesn’t know any more than us. It was just vandalism.

Yeah I know, I said the G&R being listed was skeptical and likely a mistake. It was kinda just an odd thing I noticed and mentioned in case over people bought it up. It didn’t form the basis of my theory, them being bought back was already a popular guess for the “big twist”.

But otherwise all the other info quoted from Wikipedia about challenges matches offical synopsises. My theory was wrong cause I guessed wrong, not because the info on Wikipedia was incorrect.
