Perfect Run Tonight

I had a tough day of finals today after a late night last night. I was tired, walking back from my last exam. My friend asked me to run, I told him know. I just wanted to get back to my dorm, drink some beer, and relax. That's when I passed not one, not two, but three runners all in a row. Instead of the beer, I went for a run. It was sunset, there was no wind, and one of the warmest days of December so far. I ran 6 miles at 7:15 pace. I'll take 6 miles over 6 beers any day of the week.

Congrats man! And no one but trolls and spammers should get negative karma for a post on r/running.

I had a similar run recently. I didn't really want to run, but I made myself go because it was a running day. Told myself I was going to take an easy pace because I was grumpy. Told myself I was only going to do 3 miles.

I ended up running 5 miles (it was getting dark) and ran it in a time that would have been a sub 50:00 10k without even feeling tired, despite the first mile being much slower than that pace. This was a big deal because I was wondering if I'd ever break the 50 minute 10k barrier. It was cool to finish a run that I thought was easy to find that I'm already to the point that's possible

Right on. Give's me something to shoot for. I went 6 miles in 58 minutes last night... Furthest I've run. Only a 6.1 pace, so I've got speed to work on, but it will come.

Congrats man, but seriously, r/running is not your personal log. Go to http://www.runningahead.com or others for that.

seydar is right. r/running has 18700 runners, and if every one of those were to post about one run every year, this subreddit would essentially be unusable, because that would be over 50(!) posts per day.
