Going to Carmichael, CA for the week after Xmas for a friend's wedding, and we're gonna have a beer tasting party. What do you recommend I pick up out there?

I know Russian River is relatively close to Sac, but is Pliny available anywhere this time of year? I've visited there a few times, but not since I started getting into craft beer this past summer.

And has anybody been in that gigantic new liquor store where Circuit City used to be?
