Feeling LESS insecure when smiling with braces

Hey all, just wanna say I have no intentions of bragging or feeling superior. Just wanted to give you my perspective on how I feel when smiling with braces. I’ve read and heard about how many feel insecure about smiling after getting braces and I can see why. Now that I have just gotten braces, I actually feel more inclined to smile compared to when I didn’t have them and all you could see was how crooked and enlarged my teeth were. At least with braces, it’s showing that I’m on the path to having great teeth soon and so I feel proud to show them off regardless. It also kind of covers up the imperfections too. Let me know what your thoughts are on this! (Nothing serious, just a simple discussion)
