CDC Guidelines and Masks

The CDC recently updated their guidelines in regards to wearing masks indoors. TL:DR version, those who have been fully vaccinated can do things indoors without a mask, with some exceptions (such as public transport). This should be a milestone worth celebrating. So why am I so afraid?

Because I know first hand what customers can be like. I've been physically threatened, verbally abused, challenged, and lied to by people who can't put on a simple piece of cloth for five minutes to show they care about others. I know that these customers are more the exception than the rule (at least I hope that's the case in your store), but the people I've had encounters with have made me worry about how to handle this situation.

Obviously, there's only so much I can do as a Front End Supervisor, but the point still stands. Asking for proof for vaccinations may be too troublesome, but I'm tired of dealing with customers like this. And the CDC announcement, though undoubtedly great news for returning to normal, will only increase the amount of customers trying to lie their way to getting out of a mask.

What do you guys think the best solution is?
