Unpopular opinion?: drones shouldn't auto aggro.
So there is a lot of complaints about afk ratting in null sec and botters. The vast majority are using drones due to them being the best and only one of 2 options where you don't need to lock every target manually(only other being auto-targering missiles to the best of my knowledge). I believe the best way to combat this is making drones not auto aggro anymore. I know this would be a big change to the game, but I think that it would combat the issues that people have. Also if they don't auto aggro then bots would have to do a lot more actions making it worlds easier to combat them.
Proposed changes. Make a new kind of drone called aggressive (insert drone name). This will have maybe 80 percent of t1 drone damage (open to discussion on the amount). This would allow for an afk option similar to auto targeting missiles, but make them a bit expensive to get and maybe aggro random targets to reduce their effectiveness further.
Revert the drone aggro changes that made rats Target them more often. This would make it so you aren't constantly loosing drones actively managing them (maybe keep the ai for aggressive drones as another down side).
Keep all other drone options the same. You can still drone bunny them for pvp and multiboxing. This should only effect people that want to afk orbit.
What do you think... Discuss in the comments :)

I'm just a simple station sitting peasant, but this is a stupid idea. Besides, CCP already did that once, abyss runners torched them for it and forced CCP to revert the change.
Just add some background process to the client to check for bot programs or whatever.
"No, no, no. Dont address the problem by fixing the actual mechanic that makes this type of afk ratting possible. Instead just invent some kind of magical software that automatically detects The Bots. Jeez CCP, why do i have to do your job for you."
Oh 'cause they can't make the bot press buttons, hm? Making drones passive is as good of a solution as not doing anything at all. You need to fix the root of the problem, not take away the tools and mess with playability of the game. I'm not well versed in anti-bot programs so I won't pretend to know the solution, but there's something CCP can do in that area. Personally I wouldn't mind some form of anti-cheat solution running in the background
ironically that was the rebuttal whenever it was proposed that the drone aggro change was to combat bots.
Hell I think there was a post from a popular bot maker that they updated the program to now press "F" or "Engage Target" for the drones.
Thereby causing minimal issue to the botters and only causing issues for legit players who now have to hit F on every single target.
