Tips for beginner?

I'm trying to get into cartomancy with a deck of playing cards, but i have no idea of how to interpret them. I searched online for the common meaning of each cards, but it just doesn't feel right, so i'm thinking about making my own meaning but i have no idea of where to start! Does anyone has tips about that?
