In general larger wheels require more torque, causing your motors to work harder and battery to drain faster. This could cause overheating. My board with street wheels can't really overheat. My board with 150mm pneumatics can overheat given a long enough hill to climb.

I don't really know anything about your specific case though, so i can't really tell you if this is expected given your board and those wheels.

Thank you for that insight. I was just worried because with the 96mm wheels the motors didn't overheat but with the 105mm they get extremely hot. Like too hot to touch.

It is normal. The remote willshow you if motors are overheating

Did you change the gears out as well? That would cause it to overheat if you are using bigger wheels but didn't use bigger gears.

I used the cloud wheel pulleys that were given to me with the wheels from backfire.
