This reminds me of taking prescription medication. Do the benefits outweigh the risks? Would I get skin cancer before I get some other weird cancer from chemicals? Living is exhausting.

wears sunscreen to prevent skin cancer, gets cancer from sunscreen

The irony.

List of affected products starts on page 12.

Basically everything anyone uses lmao. I'm surprised Neutrogena products have it, I thought they had better quality control.

So what's the alternative? Risk skin cancer from the sun or leukemia from rubbing benzene into our skin?

It's only sprays (from Neutrogena anyway... Unless I'm looking at the wrong pages?). Just use a lotion formula?

There are sunscreens that they tested that don’t contain benzene. We just have to wear the right sunscreens and stay far away from Neutrogena lmao

Whoaaa Elta MD spray and LRP spray

I know! I was so jarred, they seem like much more trustworthy brands to me than Neutrogena. Though Neutrogena has a lot more on the list than LRP or EltaMD.

Fruit of the Earth aloe Vera gel is on there too (as well as some other aloe/post-sun moisturizers).

Can someone copy&paste the list of the good products?

^list of sunscreens that were tested and did not find benzene...now can anyone recommend one off of this list for me lol

shehleeloo•

It's a chart. If it was just a list, I would. It looks like it might be all of neutrogena's sprays. None of the lotion formulas. 2 elta MD sprays, and the rest weren't memorable

Ah, I see. Thanks.

If i have a product that is listed on one of the pages but it has a different lot number, would I be clear or should I still be concerned and find an alternative?

1
dankhotOP•

If it’s under a product containing Benzene, I would be concerned. Some products they tested they found 0 PPM Benzene.

It really does look like there was supply chain contamination. The number of aloe vera that was contaminated is insane.
