Probably not, HOWEVER it depends. You have to consider the series of amp, woofers, box design (uncarpeted were going from 200 to 400 easily in 2010/11) sound like they're going to have to visit you head unit and run signal wire, maybe a supply wire from battery and wires used. Try and find like materials online (crutchfield, sonicelextronix, audiosaving etc) and compare. In addition to the type of vehicle. Also realistically pay for labor. So just throwing some #s
2 12s @ 225ea $450 Box. $250 Wire kits/misc $150 Amp. $350 That's. $1200 without labor

If the $1500 includes the subs, amp, box and labor then I'd say it's a decent price. Installing subs aren't that hard though, the hard work is mostly just running power and rca wires through your car. If you can figure out how to do it then you'll save yourself a few hundred, gl ;)

Get a printout of the quote and post a pic. That will make it easier for us to tell exactly what they are quoting.

Ehh it depends. For $1500 you could do MUCH better yourself. Learn to install stuff yourself, or at the very least just tell them to pre wire the car and buy everything else yourself.
Also, just FYI, JL Audio is a great brand, but you can get way better bang for your buck. And PLEASE, dont waste your money on a prefab box. Its cheaper to build a custom box and its a night and day difference.

Yeah seriously I wish I had built my first box instead of buying a prefab. The disappointment of realizing you need a custom box right after you install.

It depends on the subs and amp. Pretty easy to spend 2k on Jl before hardware and ind install.

you didn't give any info. Are they installing 2 100$ subs? or 2 600$ subs
a boss amp? a 1200W RMS JL amp?
Custom box? Prefab?
