Stitches suggestion to a beginner?

Discussion

I'm doing an inspired JW Anderson's cardigan as an absolute beginner. I'm using six different colours, the three darker ones I'm doing double crochet and one as waffle stitch. I need one more for the two colours left. I tried alpine but it looked ugly on the yarn I'm using and don't want to do just single crochet! Any suggestions? 🙏🏼

Half double? It’s more fun than single but not as time consuming as double.

Moss stitch, crochet garter stitch, ribbing stitch. People have come up with crochet patterns for this cardigan already, though. As an absolute beginner, you might have an easier time with a pattern.

Thanks. Loved this crochet garter definitely will try it. And you're right! I'm struggling cause I'm stubborn lol

Maybe try the treble crochet, I am currently making the cardigan as well and this stitch turned out really easy and you need less rows than with the double or half double crochet :)
