[Out Of The Loop] Anything out there that lets me play with my own midi keyboard WITH the ability to sustain notes?

Question

Title.

This is the one I use.

It works fine, however there's no note sustain. Anything out there that allows me to sustain notes? I'm not interested in loading preset midi and playing it. I think that defeats my purpose.

Thanks.

Sustain notes as in like you want the note to still playing when you press another? Or like is the note wont hold when you play trumpet or something?

Sustain as in, with my midi keyboard I can hold (long press) my notes, instead of them registered as a tap. So yes, my notes aren’t holding. I don’t care much for playing multiple, I only want my notes to hold.

Hmm if you're playing the harp like instrument you cant exactly hold note for those instrument, unless you have tried with the wind instrument and it's still registered as a tap. I've heard BardMusicPlayer does support midi keyboard but I found nothing on the manual, maybe you have to ask around in their discord if you're interested.

I believe Performance Mode limits the sustain to like 4 seconds or maybe less. I have to remember where I read that

Right. However with my midi keyboard and the program I use, there is no sustain - no difference than just tapping a key. However if I use my ps4 controller or mouse (even QWERTY keyboard) the sustain is apparent. Need to know if any program out there registers a long press with my external midi keyboard.

Ohhhh I get it. There needs to be a driver or something to interpret the keypress
