uj/ I have nothing against touch screens, quite a fan of modern infotainment systems, but I don’t think we need touch screen for climate control or volume.

/uj I absolutely agree. I like a few physical buttons for some more frequent operations. Since I basically never change my air conditioner, I don’t even mind it being on a screen too much. But volume, heated seats, those are a few I really enjoy having physical knobs or buttons for.

/rj Nooooooooooooo screen! Screen bad. Next thing people will start defending autotragic…..

/uj Same here. I mean, I'd rather not have it, a little bright for my tastes at night, but not a dealbreaker. I do think that buttons and knobs for things like HVAC controls and radios are better though, because once I learn the car and where everything is, I can operate everything by feel without taking my eyes off the road. There's no tactile feedback with a touchscreen, which i consider to be a significant drawback. But then I haven't driven anything with touchscreen only controls any significant distance, so what do I know.

I shouldn't have to take my eyes off the road to find radio or HVAC controls. Having a physical button is so much better. At least my Mazda 3 has an actual volume knob and radio controls on the steering wheel with dedicated HVAC buttons on the dash.

Equestrian travel methods good, combustion powered automobiles bad

Back in my day we had one horsepower. ONE. And we had to share it

Whats funny is that horses have around 15 hp. The guy, who created hp, failed at creating something sensible.

People forget that old cars were once new cars and there were millions of them… but now… we don’t see them as often… where the fuck do they think all the old cars went? Old car heaven where they can chase bunny rabbits? Nah, they’re fucking junked cuz they broke into a million fucking pieces…

people see videos of old barn finds starting up and don’t realize hours of prep went into it and all of it doesn’t matter cuz the engine will need a whole rebuild. “But this old barn find truck started after sitting for ages… “ yeah it also bent a valve
