Looking for general advice and Vengeful Spirit guidance.

Silly puns asid, I just got my key yesterday and hopped into the game in good spirits and hopes to find it better then LoL.. in some parts I find it is and in some I don't, but thats not the point of me being here.

Im still struggling a bit, I somewhat miss the button to fix the camera on my champion, camerahandling currently is my biggest enemy, but I think I can get that done eventually. From all the heroes I have tried to far, Vengeful Spirit fits me best thus far. (Still looking for a character like LoL's Leona though, defenitly my favorite.) But sadly, my first tries with her were.. uhm.. not very effective and most of the time I spend my time facedown in the dirt with next to no options to even fight back... Either I get raped in a flawlessly timed stunchain from several bots at once or its Lina that just pops up in my field of vision and I go flying. x_x Sooo.. a bit of help with propper handling, playing, equipping or anything else related to the spietful spirit lady would be highly apprechiated. Or advice on some other heroes that might fit into the bigger picture.
