PYE Stats - the story of our CMC listing: not all tokens are created equally
As many of you know, we listed on CMC this week. Finally!
Many folk think CMC = moon, and sometimes that is this case, but for a token like us that has been growing more organically (ie not pump and dump), that wasn't the story. Nonetheless, our listing appears to have been quite successful when you look at the number of watchers we have gained. These are numbers well beyond what some other tokens have achieved.
I decided to compare us to the three coins listen immediately before us and the three coins immediately after us. The findings are below, but the key conclusions are:
- We gained the most watchers out of the sever tokens in the analysis, and are one of the three who currently have more watchers than holders.
- We are pretty consistent in our numbers across our community and social media platforms - ie our numbers of holders are roughly in line with our social media and community followings. Some other tokens have really large social media followings (possibly not organically grown), but proportionately not that many holders.
- The really important conclusion is the price. CreamPYE is not pump and dump! CreamPYE's ride has been wild enough, but for a newly launched token we have done quite well. Just look at some of the other ones listed on CMC at the same time as us. The difference between their all time high (ATH) and now is vast. Sure we have dropped from our ATH too, but in the context of this comparison the ride has been much more stable and smooth (remember here that the environment is the wild west world of crypto rather than blue chip investments!).
Number of watchers on CMC
Here is how we compared with the three tokens listed on CMC immediately before us and the three immediately after us. Like I said, we have gained the most watchers and we also have a lot more watchers than holders.
Social media and communities
Not every token is active on every platform, so I have just used Telegram and Twitter for my analysis. PYE has a fairly good following on Twitter and Telegram and the numbers are not too far off our holder numbers - which to me is a good sign of organic growth.
You may be interested in token 3 who appear to have loads of holders without the big following on Telegram or Twitter. I did however notice that they have a fairly big following on Reddit (about 3.5x the size of PYE's). You'll notice though in the price chart further down that this hasn't worked out too well (appears a little pumpy and dumpy to me).

Price in BNB
Finally, what most people will regard as the important factor is the price. PYE has fallen in the last 48 hours against BNB, but all crypto has fluctuations. It's the long term that matters, and as the great Chumbawamba once stated in their classic Tubthumping - "I get knocked down, but i get up again, you never gonna keep me down" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCkmIyC6v00 )
Just look at how we compare to the fluctuations of our comparators. Look at their ATH and where there are now and look at ours. Sure, we aren't at our ATH either, but we haven't completely lost all gains. Some of these tokens look very much like pump and dumps in comparison.
Did a reddit post the other day comparing PYE to another project. Check it out here if you like - https://www.reddit.com/r/CreamPYE/comments/nnr98z/creampye_compared_with_another_similar_project/
