Some advice to younger smokers

Hey r/trees,

I've seen a lot of posts here about the misinformation and negative views on pot, and they all hold true: propaganda in the media have made cannabis out to be an evil, life-ruining drug. Just came here to say that propaganda can go both ways.
I've seen plenty of false statements made about pot on this subreddit, like claiming pot has no unhealthy side-effects, and is completely non-addictive. It is one of the safest drugs available, but never forget that it is still a drug, and should be treated as one. I once was an "all-day everyday" kind of smoker, and after a while it turned me into exactly what the media portrays potheads as: a deadbeat. I've learned that, like with any good thing in life, moderation is key.
So for those ents who just bought their first pipe, or looking to smoke for the first time, kudos to you! Mary Jane is a wonderful girl. Just don't let smoking turn into your lifestyle. That is not mentally or emotionally healthy. I love the message of r/trees, but don't make the mistake of letting a harmless hobby turn into your identity.

Peace & Love

EDIT: The message here wasn't "People can't smoke every day and be successful." Sorry for the confusion :/ The posts I've seen here on r/trees that I was referring to were the ones that promote the "fuck it, I'll get high instead" mentalities. It looks cute and funny in rage comics, but that's not how any ent should face things. You all are wonderful, thank you for taking the time to read.
