Make this a non-partisan issue or we will lose control over our message.

I suggest we target one DEM and one REP who support this issue and are vulnerable. If we do not, the media will hijack our message as a simple left uprising to oust hated right representatives. This is, and should be a non-partisan issue about free speech and censorship. This guy: http://www.redstate.com/erick/2011/12/22/stopping-sopa/ suggested a number of DEMS and REPS we should look at; and even though he is a conservative blogger, he seems to understand the importance of making this a non-partisan issue.

EDIT: Seems like there is enough support, can we incorporate this into the main strategy and modify the target selection strategy. If we leave it like it is, as just an attack as Ryan; (who has more than enough reasons to be pulled) we won't be able to send a cohesive message or garner enough support to translate to actual action. BOTH PARTIES NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS, or this will get lost in the mist of the yelling from either side about politicians we don't like/are trying to recall etc.

If we work in a non-partisan manner we can easily get more support and traction. It also sends the message that "hey, political class, the people can ignore partisan BS to work on something together, you should be able to work together as well for larger issues." It seems the only time they are actually able to work together is when it comes to BS legislation like this.

Sadly, I feel we have already lost control of the message by labeling it as such. We need to make a concentrated effort to re-brand as an Anti-SOPA organization and not an anti-RYAN organization, however it should be very clear we know and communicate who we are targeting.
