The myth of the obligation to protect "the Creation" from "corruption" and the idea we should not "compete with god" is very damaging to our society.

These concepts are burnt into our cultural memories since there are "gods" to offend. The idea of evil machines and scientific threats are constantly revived by media. Aspirations to create true AI, new life forms or immortality get constantly reprimanded by neo-hippiesque attitudes with a strong religious/spiritual influence.

Spirituality, environmentalism, veganism and other popular western trends for coping with the insignificance of life and the remorse, that we build our society on top of the suffering of other life forms, are getting more and more attention.

We have to stop this! We have to find back to the times before this invasion of ethical worries and fear of the dethronement of men as pride of creation. Technocracy suffers from a bad reputation, while the "Emocracy" of the 1960s is blooming.
