Skype Problems

I can open skype up until the login screen but after I enter my password there is a application error which says:

"The Instruction at "0x005dae87" referenced memory at "0x00001708". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

Click on CANCEL to debug the program

Is there anyway to fix this? I have restarted my laptop and reinstalled the program but nothing has changed :S

P.S. Debugging doesnt work either
