Never had a real vacation before, where was/is your best get away?

I'm reletively new to reddit and I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place. I'm trying to plan a vacation (May/June 2012) because I am long overdo for one.. I'm open for anything, from island paradise to arctic tundra, partially because I don't know any better. What is your best get-away or best location spot?
