Justification for an engineering problem?

Hey reddit! wondering if you wonderful people could help me out: I'm currently in an Engineering Design and Development class at my high school where we are working on year long design projects based off of what we have learned in our previous pre-engineering classes. I am the leader of our group and we are currently looking into the problem of our school wasting money due to the phantom/vampire loads of our computers when they are not in use (we are supposed to unplug all the schools computers each night and weekend, but it never happens). Do you have any suggestions for where we could find help on solving this issue? Or any other advice/information for us? All help is much appreciated!
