Need help registering my 3ds

Hello!

So I decided to join Club Nintendo, and was told I could get 160 coins for registering my 3ds. The problem however is that when I try to type in the #PIN I get a message saying the product is invalid

Has anyone else experienced this, and what did you do?

The 3ds was bought roughly 6 months ago
