Just got an old bike and starting to clean it/fix it up. I have a couple of questions.

My first project is going to be repainting it. I sanded the frame today for about 2 hours until I learned about airplane remover. I am going to buy some tomorrow and get all the areas I couldn't reach. The chain was painted, I am wondering if I can use the airplane remover on it, or if that is a bad idea. Also, I have primer, and black spray paint which says it doubles as the enamel clear coat. Should I buy the separate can of clear coat anyways just to be safe, or will that be enough?
