Is bottle priming really that difficult?
I'll be doing my first bottling in a few weeks, and the constant reports I hear about exploding bottles have me a little concerned.
The thing is, I've looked over the handy sticky on carbonation a few times, and it sounds extremely easy and straightforward. There's some precision involved, but no more than anywhere else in the brewing process.
So what are all of these people doing wrong? Is there an easy mistake I should be watching out for? Or does bottle priming really involve a certain amount of luck and prayer?
