How to put off your own flock...

My Catholic raised Wife (very very lapsed!) wanted to have our unborn boy or girl baptised when they are born. We have moved to Melbourne, Australia, and so now live outside of the parish she was raised in. She got in touch with the local priest and he told her to go to the weekly baptism meeting to discuss it. She is very nearly an atheist after it. Essentially it was a hellfire and brimstone rant about womens subservience, how a rape victim should marry her attacker for the good of the child borne etc etc. I was at a work Christmas function, and so wasn't present for this, but am sure it would have gotten pretty heated if I had been. Anyway, The baby isn't getting baptised now.
