What are your best "I fought the law and *I* won" stories?

So I was walking home from Burger King tonight, cold as hell, hoodie over head, looking down and thinking about my life. I get to my apt complex entrance and out of nowhere headlights and siren appear. Over his intercom, the officer tells me to "stop". Startled, I stopped. The cop gets out of his car, walks over to me and asks me for my ID, in which I decline. He asks me why I don't want to show him my ID, and I said that he had no reason to see my ID, as I was just walking home from Burger King (even had the bag full of food in my hand).

He then tells me there has been "suspicious activity" at my complex. I just nod and say "okay". He proceeds to tell me to take my hat/hoodie off, in which I decline, again. At this point I can see the rage in his eyes. He tells me he can arrest me for various reasons, which I knew were complete and utter bullshit. Scare tactics.

After his little rant I ask him: "Am I being detained?" He responds "No, but I'd like to ask you some questions". I say to him "No thanks, have a good night" and walked off to my apartment. In the back of my head I pictured him tasing or chasing me down, which obviously didn't happen. I walked off and nothing else was said or done.

The whole thing didn't last but 5 or 6 minutes, but it felt pretty good exercising my rights as a US citizen.

Your turn.
