Haircut help! About growing out and styling~

MtF here pre-everything. So my hair is really an issue to me. D: I'm trying to grow it out and I'm in that awkward phase, but lately I don't think it looks very feminine either.. the sides length is about on my chin while the back length is almost on my shoulders. So my questions are, would getting it cut so the back length matches the side length make it a more feminine haircut? Would it be worth it to lose a few months of growth to do that? Or should I just brave through until it's fully grown?
