Are there any ways to provide internet service to an airplane flying over the ocean?

I'm curious if this is theoretically possible or not. I know we now have internet on domestic flights (Delta does this), but it requires the plane to be over land. Can you imagine any way to do this when the plane is far away from land, on a long haul international flight in the middle of the Pacific ocean?
